ebook

My Review: 4 Stars
Wouldn't it be awesome to discover an old abandoned mansion belongs to your family? That's exactly what happens when Patrick's dad unexpectedly dies and he discovers a deed in his dad's papers. The only problem is, Rachel's been saving up to buy this place for years, since no one has claimed it, and has big dreams for it.
Rachel is spunky and they're both stubborn, but what really struck my heart was the way that Rachel was still willing to help out and share ideas, even when things were going her way at all. She's not one to hold a grudge, which was refreshing. I loved watching these two opposite worlds clash and meld and when the sparks started to simmer, my heart was won over.
I know the focus of the story isn't supposed to be on the mansion, but that part was very fascinating and I would have loved to see more of the renovations. As it was, the slower-paced, wild and free setting of Idaho was a breath of fresh air and the romance was as sweet and tempting as the Fourth of July pies.
Content: mild romance
