My Review: 4 Stars
I love a magically modern Cinderella story and this one delivered. Jane cleans houses for a living and finds herself right in the middle of Cameron's messy breakup. The two couldn't come from more different backgrounds and lifestyles, yet their souls click and it's obvious that they have a simmering chemistry from the start. But how is that going to work with a crazy ex-fiancee in the wings?
There are a few twists and I honestly wasn't sure where this story was headed, how it would get there, and what my feelings towards both of these main characters would be by the journey's end. But it was easy to lose my heart to them. I love down-to-earth people. And although the romance happens pretty quickly, it's believable and I loved the humor, tenderness, and the charm that results from it.
Pine Valley is a great setting. Although the reader doesn't get as much of a glimpse into the place as in the previous book, there is still a small-town, warm and comforting feeling that pervades the story. I loved catching a peak at characters from Book 1--it was like getting a tiny catch-up session with old friends. Like always, I can't wait for more!
