****--4 stars.
Cassidy Christensen is running.
Running from the mercenaries who killed her parents.
Running from a scheming redhead intent on making her life miserable.
Running from painful memories that sabotage her dreams of happiness.
With
two very tempting men competing for her attention, she hopes she'll
finally have someone to run to, but can she trust either of them? When
secrets from her past threaten her family, Cassidy decides to stop
running and fight for her future.
A light-hearted and clean romantic suspense, Dead Running will have you lacing up your running shoes and impatiently waiting for the sequel.
The short sequels Dying to Run and Running Home are now available for only $.99.
My Review: Having
grown up in Cache Valley, I could totally picture the places that
Cassidy (Cassie) ran. When different streets, towns, landmarks, etc were
mentioned, I was there!
Cassie wins an entry in a marathon and
begins training--having hardly any running experience! She runs into
some crazy characters and some scary situations that seem to be related
to her parents murders a few years earlier.
I was not expecting
the humor in this story. Cassie had funny nicknames for everyone (Hot
Redhead, Dr. Tattoo, etc) and she was a walking disaster--meaning,
clumsy and crazy things were always happening to her. She was also quite
witty.
I did enjoy the almost love triangle situation as well. A fun, suspenseful, entertaining read. To buy this, click here.
Thank you for the fun review!
