Review: Just Desserts by Paige Timothy

Just Desserts (Main Street Merchants Book 4) by Paige Timothy
Published: December 2, 2014, Trifecta Books, 118 pages
My Source: I received a copy in exchange for a honest review

Description: Quinn spends all her time managing D'Angelo's Bakery - so much time, in fact, that she rarely does anything else. When things get tough for the bakery's owner and she's needed more than ever, dreams of romance and a family of her own fly out the window - but then along comes someone who shows her just how sweet life can be.

My Review: Cooking isn't my favorite thing to do, but I love to bake, and I absolutely adore a cute, clean romance that takes place in a bakery.

Quinn loves to bake and takes her job seriously. In fact, she takes life seriously. In an effort to spur the failing economy, she decides to hold cake decorating classes after business hours.

Construction worker Jonah walks into that first class late, but is determined to make this work. When he does an amazing job with the first task, everyone is amazed--especially Quinn. She asks if he's done this before and he answers that it's not much different from spackle. That sure got Quinn riled up! Jonah sure pushes her buttons, without even realizing it--he's much more laid back than she is.

There is a similar, serious issue that involves loved ones of both Quinn and Jonah. I love the way they handle it. It always amazes me that these novellas are able to wrap things up and feel complete in such a short amount of time.

One of my favorite things about this series is the way the characters are all connected. They show up in each others stories and each store/business is so quaint and cozy. I would love to see this street in real life! I'm definitely looking forward to more.

Content: Clean!
