My Review: 4.5 Stars
Merri and Brighton have had a very long-time rivalry going on and Merri just can't let it go. Everything is ultra-competitive between them and even years out of high school, she just can't give it up. When Brighton comes back to town, the competitive juices start flowing again, and a huge favor leaves them stranded in the snowy mountains with his Nana just before Christmas.
When Merri and Brighton finally start to communicate, and especially with Nana's added words, Merri comes to several realizations and that's when things get really interesting. She's a little too competitive for me, but I love how he's able to mellow that out and twist things. He's such a lovable character.
I love the play on their names and the way these two really get to know each other. Isn't life funny? Sometimes things aren't really the way they seem and the spirit of Christmas, with it's feelings of love, hope, and joy, prevails.
This is a fun little pick-me-up that's perfect for the holiday season.
Content: mild, clean romance
