I've mentioned before that I absolutely adore books that are written in rhyme. I feel like it really speaks to children, not only entertaining them, but also helping them learn and associate words. This is a cute story about a bug--a ladybug to be exact. Although she's busy and in a hurry, she takes the time to help others along her way and that's such a great lesson for kids to learn. People are more important than the project.
The illustrations are colorful and well done. Although not professional, they invite children to study them and really pertain to the words, which helps spark imagination. I love that this whole book is done by two teenage sisters. It sends a message that anything is possible.
Such a sweet story that's great for any age.

About the Author/Illustrators: Anabella and Sofia Schofield are sixteen-year-old twin sisters and best friends. When asked in preschool what they wanted to be when they grew up, both responded, “A ladybug!” Their goals have changed, but they’re happy to be writing about a ladybug now! Ladybug’s Garden began as a project the authors wrote and illustrated at age thirteen. In their spare time, Anabella and Sofia enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, photography, music, and art.
