My Review:
Emily and Jared have a past. They once wanted to marry, but when Jared left without a word and married another, Emily was left heartbroken and devastated. Years later, their paths cross again and neither of them are sure they can handle it.
I love a good lost love story. It was written in a way that was easy for me to sympathize with Emily--I could feel her pain and sorrow. Emily is a strong character, not willing to sit back without a fight while her four brothers try to find her the perfect match. She has a mind of her own and pushes the limits of what is acceptable for a lady in this time.
Jared has many secrets. He can't quite resist Emily, but for many reasons, he has to try. I wish he would've (or could've) been more trusting. Roderick, the oldest brother, has secrets as well. It almost seems like it's okay for him to do something, but Emily can't do the same thing without a big deal made.
The brothers and different encounters with potential suitors had me laughing and smiling throughout; the romance was toe-tingling and sweet; and the aunt/cousin were great, too. A very enjoyable and purely fun story!
Content: clean romance; mild language; mild violence. Clean!
