My Review: 4 Stars

In alternate points of view, this book tells the story of a girl enlisting the help of her friend to win the attention of the football player, so she can hopefully go to prom with him. Yes, it's somewhat predictable, but it is a lot of fluffy, goofy fun.

I liked the little things that made the story unique. Cooper and Kate are friends, and not even really that close of friends, so there wasn't any one-sided longing going on...at first. These characters have interests that really set them apart (rowing, shipping couples, and stargazing to name a few), and I loved that. It's refreshing to have characters who aren't afraid to embrace their weirdness, while navigating all the high school awkwardness. 

I love how slow and gradual the relationship development is--very natural, yet sweet with some pretty intense underlying sparks. I think it's safe to say that the romance slaps them both in their faces.

I flew through the story and really enjoyed it, as it took me back to my own high school days, but I could have done without some of the language/crudeness. I know it's probably a high school thing now, but it's not my favorite. I really do appreciate a fun, sweet romance though. This is a cute story!
