Kristen knows men hide things. Case in point, her last boyfriend turned out to be married. Just like anyone else, Kristen is devastated. However, since Kristen evaluates people for a living, her ex’s duplicity has her searching for a new career as well as swearing off men.
Touring history museums with her sexy friend Ethan doesn’t count, because he has a girlfriend, and has only shown friendly interest in Kristen. He even helps with her career counseling tasks. Although Kristen has a secret crush on Ethan, spending time with him is safe. Until she discovers he’s actually single. Gasp. And now he’s flirting with her, too.
Suddenly, Ethan is way too dangerous. Not to mention tempting. Sure, he seems like sixty shades of perfect, but how’s a girl with bad judgment supposed to detect what skeletons he has in his closet?
(4.5 Stars) Kristen has been cheated on and she's not handling it well. As a marriage and family therapist, she doesn't see how she can possible help others when she was so blind herself. Doesn't that make her human? For me, it's a lot easier to "fix" things with other people than it is with myself. The events that lead Kristen to discover the perfect, new profession for her are very entertaining...and romantic.
Ethan has been a good friend for awhile now and even though there's some attraction there, he's safe. Or so she thinks. I really love the way Ethan is kind and gentle with such a broken woman. He truly seems to care for Kristen as a person.

Melanie Porter has been dumped—again. When others accuse her of “being in love with being in love,” she agrees to let her best friend, Patti, step in and direct her dating life.

(3.5 Stars) Melanie is always being dumped and when her BFF, Patti, steps in to help, it's not a pretty picture. Patti comes up with some rules that's going to make dating a whole lot harder now and the price? Melanie's new car. If she doesn't follow the rules, Patti gets the car.
Melanie works at a gym and I love the easy banter the employees have with one another. They have a word of the day, joke around, and have a good time. Matt is a great guy and attractive to boot, but he's a player. Isn't he? I enjoyed watching Melanie learn to focus on what's really important, instead of coming off as completely desperate and easy.
This story has quite a bit of innuendo. I didn't find anything over-the-top inappropriate, but Melanie is a much morally loose character and as I mentioned before, willing to do whatever it takes to keep a man (desperate/easy).

After discovering her fiancĂ© cheated on her, Kaitlin is focused on two things: remodeling her new home and avoiding men at all costs. But her friends insist she get back in the driver’s seat and date again. They strike a hard bargain and agree to paint her house if she goes on five dates.
Anxious to get the paint job started, Kaitlin schedules five dates in five days, but her plan falls to pieces when a sexy bartender at her venue-of-choice makes her swoon. Even though he observes each of the dates from afar, she can’t help but want him to come a little closer.
The last person she should fall for is a mysterious bartender with a sinful smile, but Paul makes her want to take risks again. Will the charming man with electric blue eyes break her heart or will he prove to her that a license to date is what makes life worth the drive?
(5 Stars) Kaitlin is ready to swear off all men. I mean, wouldn't discovering your fiance is a cheating liar right before your wedding do that to a woman? In a plot to help her move on, her friends strike a deal with her--go on five dates and they'll help her paint her whole, new, in-desperate-need-of-a-remodel, house.
Right off the bat, as she's waiting for Date #1, she meets an amazing new bartender, Paul, and can't stop thinking about him. He seems to turn up everywhere she is and as they get to know each other, she can't help but wonder if he could be the one to finally help her move on.
I loved the rappelling scene--so romantic! I love the fact that you really can't truly judge someone, their intent, and who they really are by the superficial traits that are obvious. This one is completely swoonworthy. I really loved the characters, their interactions, and their personalities.
Content: each story contains some kissing (French kissing in a few instances, but not graphic); as mentioned, mild innuendo, except for Book #5). Clean!
