My Source: I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion.
Description: How much difference do we make? As James Smith approaches 40, his life is mediocre. But his actions have had a vast impact on those around him. Be touched by the extraordinary impact of an ordinary life.
My Review: I've often wondered if I make a difference in life. Do the little things I do really matter? I loved the way this story unfolded. It reminded me a little of a modern day "It's a Wonderful Life."
James is dreaded that big 4-0. Who doesn't dread that one? It causes him to really ponder his life and his importance. There were several stories told in a couple of chapters each, that told a way that James impacted those around him. I loved the way his little, every day actions were really important to others--things that he never even thought twice about. Those few chapters really gave the reader a glimpse into someone else's life--their worries, concerns, pleasures, and more. I think we all have more of an influence on those around us than we think and I loved the outcome of this story--the way it spurred James on to continue to be better and try harder. There were some great thoughts and quotes, such as, "You make a difference." There were some great messages for everyone.
