Description:
This is a sweet, contemporary romance.
How can an innocent letter cause so much trouble?
Sabrina returns to Tybee Island to help her sister run a bed and breakfast inn. She never expects to meet the man who knows all about the most embarrassing moment of her life. Will she ever escape the consequences of a letter she wished had never been written?
Meredith is on the island for peace and quiet - two things he needs to write his next bestseller. He doesn't want any complications. Running into Sabrina is a disturbance of the worst kind - a reminder of an encounter he can't seem to forget no matter how hard he tries.
Will the unexpected reunion of Sabrina and Meredith finally reveal the secrets surrounding the love letter?
What a darling story!! I loved how Sabrina was able to hold her tongue and act very mature about things, even when provoked to do the opposite. I know that if I were in that situation, it would be very hard not to plead my innocence (over and over and over again). She handled things as gracefully as she could, all while maintaining a professional front, since she was helping her sister with her bed-and-breakfast.
Speaking of Casey, the sister, and the bed-and-breakfast. Casey was such a good mother-figure/sister for Sabrina and I enjoyed the way the sisters worked together. It makes me want to visit a place like this.
I really liked the setting. I love the beach and the descriptions were just perfect for me to envision it all.
Meredith was quite the character. I could see why all of the girls had a crush on him, yet he was so stand-offish. I'm sure that added to his appeal and led to many more crushes. He was very interesting, so gifted in so many different areas, yet coming off across as a little conceited because of his inner battles, I'm sure.
David was a ball of energy! It was fun to see him help Sabrina relax and enjoy life a little more. I loved his run-in on the beach with those sparks just a flyin'.
I loved the way the story played out and was all wrapped up in the end. I felt that the characters had good connections and growth and it was a wonderful escape read!!
