****--4 Stars.
August 2012, 244 pages.
Description (from amazon):
Committed to saving his marriage before it starts, doctoral student Nick
Cairn embarks on a project aimed at finding the secrets of everlasting
love. But when Moiré De Lanthe, a smart and sassy research assistant,
enters the picture, his Happily Ever After is put to the ultimate test.
My Review:
I thought this was a different book, in that it's from a male's point of view and was written by a man.
Nick
is working towards his doctorate and does a big project on determining
the secrets of an everlasting marriage/relationship. I love how each
chapter started--with a snippet from his past.
Let me just say,
Ella, Nick's fiance, is a piece of work!!! He is such a nice, kind, and
patient guy to put up with someone like her. Nick is pretty serious and
kind of old fashioned and is so worried if Ella won't have him, then
he'll end up single forever. So he caters to her--way too much, in my
opinion. I really liked Moire, his research assistant. She has such a
great sense of humor and such an interesting name.
I enjoyed this story and it's definitely clean, which is a big bonus for me. :)
