My Review: 4 StarsIt always seems that love comes when you're least expecting it and that's what happens with single dad Adrian and done-with-dating Shelley. I adored these characters and 10 year old Ben was the icing on the cake. I loved how each chapter alternated points-of-view.The elements are all there for a delightfully sweet story--a wonderful cast of characters, service, homeyness, attraction, baking, and swoon, but I was slightly uncomfortable with Adrian's and Shelley's connection. I know people are connected that way in real life, but it would be a personal hurdle for me to overcome.Adrian and Shelley have a bond that is tangible and it was lovely to watch them build upon that, making their relationship deeper and more meaningful. Ben was the glue, even amidst all the troubles and angst. Once I settled into the situation, I was stolen away for an entertaining, yet bumpy ride, and it was a nice diversion.
