My Review: 5 Stars

 

I wish I could live in this cover...and in the pages behind it. I love everything about this cover and I'm so happy that it's a perfect match for the story within.

 

House parties are so fascinating to me and I adore that we get glimpses of characters from past books in this story. I have a penchant for protagonists who have imperfections and that's just what is delivered in this offering. 

 

Sophia is fiercely stalwart in her decisions...and she has red hair, freckles, and hates to wear hats, which leads to sunburns. She's also quite hilarious in her nicknames for the match her mother is trying to force. Hugh is charming and smart, but isn't a who's-who in society, although he makes the best of his situation and has worked hard to get to where he is in life. Although this couple encounters many snags in their interactions at this house party, every moment together is extremely endearing and pleasing.

 

This book brought smiles to my face and allowed me the most heavenly escape. The Solicitor's Son is delectable from cover to cover and I'm still standing by my thought that Rachael Anderson is an auto-read author every time.
