Forever Yours in Christmas Falls (Return to Christmas Falls * Book 5) by Susan Hatler
Kindle Edition
Published October 23rd 2017 by Hatco Publishing
Morgan Reed is excited to return to her hometown of Christmas Falls and open her beauty salon, but when she arrives to her rented business space she’s shocked to find it already occupied by Dallas Parker—her brother’s best friend, the guy she had a childhood crush on, and the one her mom blames for their family’s greatest tragedy.
With their landlord out of the country and unreachable, Morgan and Dallas must open their businesses together. But, no worries, all small towns need a combo furniture store/beauty salon, right? Ugh. As they work together, Morgan tries to keep her emotional distance but time and off-the-charts chemistry soon turn a childhood friendship into a blossoming romance.
Unfortunately, just when their relationship develops into something deeper, an unexpected crisis re-opens her family’s old wounds and the blame is on Dallas once again. Will Morgan’s sadness and fear pull them apart, or make her realize Dallas has always been her heart’s true safe harbor?

My Review: 4.5 Stars
I love a hilarious first meet, but what makes this one even better is that it's actually a re-meet. Dallas was one of Morgan's older brother's best friends and although her mother blames him for a tragedy in the family, Morgan has always had a little crush. And that meet was a great way to start the story.
Although this story had some sizzling chemistry, there are some deeper issues that both Dallas and Morgan have to work through and some of them are seriously intimidating. I grew up in a small town and I've always felt that if I were to move back, expectations would be high and I've grown and changed since then. Morgan has worked hard to develop into the woman she is, but it's hard to break the mold of what's expected of her, especially with a lack of communication. Dallas has to deal with breaking the idea that he's not a troublemaker anymore.
I love how each girl is tied to their high school mentor, Miss Anna Cate, and loved watching the advice and interactions with her. I wish this story would have showed more of Morgan's friendships with the other girls, or even one girl, to really give the reader an idea of how strong the bond was. So far, I'm loving who these girls have grown up to be--so giving and generous.
This is sure to be a story that will warm your heart and give you a few butterflies in the process.
Content: mild+ romance (steamy clean kissing); mild violence/moments of peril.
*I received a copy, which had no influence on my thoughts and opinions.*
