But the chance to be with her sisters and get away from the heart ache and pain she's faced day in and day out is a chance she's going to take. The fact that they don't know anything about running a bakery won't stop them. With Layla's new life, come new connections and friendships including Michael Bender, a single dad and someone who wouldn't mind getting to know Layla better. She doesn't trust men and she doesn't want to change her mind but Michael's little girl Stella grabs her by the heart and won't let go. When Layla and her sisters realize that there are people who want to see them fail, it will take a lot of heart and courage to keep going. Layla will have to let go of the past in order to grab onto the future if she'll ever find the love she needs.
My Review: What have I been waiting for? I've had this one for awhile and have just been too busy to read it. I made time and wished I would have sooner. I LOVED IT!!

Layla is a burned out social worker, ready for a change. When her paternal grandma wills her (and her two younger sisters) her bakery, Layla, Kit, and Jane jump at the chance to run it. Since her dad walked out on the family years and years ago, Layla is a little gun-shy with men and doesn't have the trust and courage it takes to pursue a relationship. Change is in the wind when she meets Michael. His young daughter, Stella, captures her heart and in turn, her heart just might be ready for love.

I loved the setting! Fircrest, WA sounds like an amazing town and it's a real place! It sounds like a place where people can start over and prosper, yet it's a small enough place to really put down roots. I also love the idea of a bakery. I was hungry all while reading this one. I loved the characters and enjoyed getting to know each of the sisters better. Michael is such an impatient, yet totally worth it, man. He's a good father, a doting friend, and quite the romancer.

I'm hooked on this series and can't wait to read more! It's a fun romance with a little bit of a mystery.

Content: no language or violence; mild, sizzling kisses. Clean!
