my favorite tradition is trick or treating
ReplyDeleteI love that, too! Growing up, kids only went until they were out of grade school, but kids in my neighborhood go until they're out of high school. :)
DeleteI love seeing my nieces and nephews all dressed up in their costumes, they always look so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they all look adorable!
DeleteI love watching Hocus Pocus every Halloween! Also dressing up and eating candy! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a fun movie! I haven't seen it for a few years--I'd better round a copy up.
DeleteI love those little individually wrapped caramels they hand out at Halloween and I love seeing the little kids no matter what costume they have,
ReplyDeleteOoh...caramels. Yum! Kids are sooo cute!
DeleteMy favorite Halloween tradition is bobbing for apples!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done that for years, but it's a great tradition!
DeleteThanks for the giveaway! I love making caramel apples.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I love caramel apples, too. I just saw a recipe on Pinterest for little caramel apple balls. They sure looked good and not as messy, but a mess is half of the fun.
DeleteI like princess costumes.
ReplyDeleteI love princesses!!
DeleteSadly, I do not celebrate Halloween...
ReplyDeleteNo worries. :) Do you have a favorite thing about autumn?
Deletemy favorite halloween tradition is watching scary movies
ReplyDeleteI get so scared in scary movies, but they sure are fun this time of year!
DeleteMy favorite Halloween tradition is storytelling of scary stories and trick or treat!
ReplyDeleteI love spooky stories! I still remember a creepy one my teacher told me in grade school. Trick or treating is the best! Candy!
DeleteI made a southern belle costume one year as a school assignment and I still have it - wish I could still fit in it. My favorite costume of all time.
ReplyDeleteWow--I bet it's gorgeous! I'm so glad you still kept it, even if it doesn't fit. It sounds like the perfect costume.
DeleteI love taking the kids trick-or-treating and seeing all the other kids out in their cute or scary costumes! I also love passing out candy.
ReplyDeleteI love trick-or-treating! I think I'd rather pass out the candy because it's easier to see all the kids' costumes.
DeleteI love watching all the Halloween movies every year. I love Hocus Pocus, the Halloweentown series, and the 2 twitches movies.
ReplyDeleteFun, fun movies! We always watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, but those you mentioned are so much fun!
DeleteI used to make all my kids costumes and now those costumes are being worn my their kids. Love seeing this every year!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool thing! I'm sure your homemade costumes are much sturdier than the store costumes.
DeleteI love getting out all of the spooky movies starting on Oct 1 and watch all of the way to Nov 1.
ReplyDeleteI love that, too! It's such a fun month and really gets a person in the spirit of the season. :)

You're welcome! Do you celebrate anything similar? I agree--movies are the best!
DeleteWatching halloween movies and eating anything pumpkin flavored
ReplyDeleteAh...pumpkin flavored! Love it! Movies are so much fun. :)
DeleteThat's a good question. I'm trying to come up with new traditions for my little ones. I didn't really have any growing up, besides the usual dressing up and trick or treating. With the kids we are trying to do more stuff throughout October. We've taken them to a "haunted" corn maze, pumpkin picking, trunk or treating, and I've bought them some "scary" (Alvin and the Chipmunks) movies to help get them excited. It's been fun to spread out the fun for the whole month. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that there's a whole month of fun things to do. It sounds like you're making some great memories with your kids! I love those Alvin movies. :)
DeleteMy favorite Halloween costume is a witch. Go all out with a big pointy hat and cape and use green food coloring in makeup to make yourself all green (face and arms)
ReplyDeleteMy standard costume is either a witch or Princess Leia (gotta love those buns). I've never tried the green food coloring in makeup--that sounds like the way to go! I'll have to try that for sure!
DeleteMy favorite halloween tradition is carving the pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the most anticipated things to do at our house. My kids plot and plan for days how they're going to carve it--scary or silly? Cute or wacky?
DeleteWhen I was a kid I used to love going trick or treating and when I had a kid I loved going with her. Now I have a grandson and love watching him go trick or treating. Now I mostly just watch a lot of horror movies.
ReplyDeleteThat so much fun to pass along something you love. Horror movies are scary, but so much fun at this time of year!
DeleteI once dressed up as the candlestick from beauty and the beast and that was my favorite costume.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an amazing costume!
DeleteOur neighborhood is rather dark with no sidewalks and we don't get many trick or treaters so the best part is eating the leftovers!
ReplyDeleteAnd that is exactly why I buy the "good" candy--so I'll actually enjoy it if there are leftovers. :)
DeleteMy favorite treat is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups! Love them!
ReplyDeleteThose are sooooo good! Great choice.

ReplyDeleteI love it, too! I've seen Valentine and Easter candy corn, but it just doesn't taste quite the same as the yellow, orange, and white ones. :)
