The Husband Whisperer Review & Giveaway

Husband Whisperer blog tourMarch 2014, 115 pages

Description: “We men know the women of God as wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, associates, and friends. You seem to tame us and to gentle us, and yes, to teach us and to inspire us.” —Neal A. Maxwell
Learn how to take an active part in your marriage and help lead you and your husband to your divine potential. Much like a horse whisperer uses peaceful persuasion with a horse, the true way to a better relationship is a touch of gentleness.
Avoid the spurs of manipulation, threats, and anger that can only harm a relationship, especially between spouses. In The Husband Whisperer, licensed counselor Kevin Hinckley shows women how to use their divine nature and listen to the still, small voice to bring peace into their marriages and ride off into the sunset of eternal life.

My Review:  I was expecting this book to tell me how to "control" my husband and be in charge. Thankfully, it wasn't. Right off the bat, it said that it's a book for women to learn to relate to men and to use our divine nature to help men achieve all the Lord intends for them.

This little gem was full of wonderful advice on how to be a more peaceful and calm person. I know I'm often prone to overreacting and this book was great in counsel and stories to help me get that under control. There was one story in this book that was pretty much me and my husband.

I learned that "learning to hear whisperings is critical to being a whisperer." How true is that? I loved reading that the art of whispering begins with how I feel about myself. And most importantly, how does the Spirit speak to us? Usually with a whisper. We are more effective when we speak that way.

**I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.**
