There’s no denying Ann
Simpson is passive, so when she’s challenged to read a book that could
change her life, she eagerly accepts. If she writes a winning article
about her transformation, it could earn her a writing slot with Walquest
Weekly, taking her career to the next level. And who knows—maybe it
could empower her to step out of her romance novels and into her own
happily ever after.
Ann packs her bags and her book and heads to Montana where she hopes to reinvent herself. Caught off guard by the cowboy of her dreams, Trey Richardson, Ann falls hard and fast. But does Trey love the real Ann, or the book-made woman she’s invented for the article?

My Review: 5 Stars
This book reads like a movie and not just any movie, but one that I could watch over and over again--a favorite. One of my New Year's resolutions is to become more assertive, so imagine my surprise when I discover that Ann is a kindred spirit (and not Ann with an e). Ann doesn't like conflict and has a hard time saying yes to new things and no to things that she doesn't want to do. In an effort to change herself and to win a job, she's following new tactics from a book she's reading and the results are swoony and fun.
Ann has always dreamed of falling for a real cowboy and gets her chance to meet one when she goes to her friend's ring ceremony in Montana. Enter Trey. The instantaneous sparks and chemistry almost knocked my Kindle right out of my hands! Trey is a gentleman and really encompasses all of the positive traits that Ann (and myself) associates with cowboys--hardworking, strong, sweet, loyal, charming...to name a few.
Neither character is perfect and each has a secret to hold close to their hearts, but the simmering passion, endearing personalities, and needed conflict propels this delightful tale right off the charts. I couldn't put it down and was surprised, although completely content, when the book ended. Kimberly Krey is a must-read if you love steamy clean romance and chick lit. This is one I'll definitely be reading again.
Content: mild+ (steamy clean romance, kisses); very vague violence (accident); very mild and brief references to religion
