My Review:

I've really grown to love the Hunter family through reading this series. Yes, they have their ups and downs and are nowhere near perfect, but they really watch out for one another and are there for each other.

This story shows us the life of Zachary (not Zach). He's an author and a dreamer and has just returned home from the Big Apple, after trying to make it big as a writer. He's a little disillusioned and down on his luck. He's one good looking nerd and is more into his stories than he is into real life. A chance meeting with Jasmine leaves him impressed, but he's not one who is going to go after her--especially since he's also recovering from a broken heart.

Jasmine comes from a tough upbringing and is doing everything she can to break the cycle. She isn't one to shy away from going after what she wants and that includes getting to know Zachary better. She is the one making moves and in a way, it was refreshing to see a woman take charge of the relationship without being overbearing. Her forward approach is exactly what Zachary needs to get out of his rut--until she pushes too hard.

Zachary is quite sensitive and dramatic, yet totally likable. I really enjoyed the personalities that seemed to jump off of the pages, as well as the way the relationship developed at a quick, yet natural pace. The setting is incredible and I adore the characters. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series!

Content: mild romance (kissing); talk of death, drugs, alcohol in an informative way (about a character). Clean!

About the Author:

Stacy ClaflinI love writing, reading, and watching most anything. My favorite shows include Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Pretty Little Liars, and Once Upon a Time.

I've been writing and telling stories for as long as I can remember. As a kid, my story telling would get me into trouble when I would try to convince others that my stories were real.

When I'm not busy writing, I spend time with my family. I also educate my kids from home.
