Description:
Meredith Jensen has seen her share of ups and downs. She’s found love twice already and lost it in spectacularly traumatic ways. Now? She just wants a peaceful life, free from love and drama. Meredith’s plans for the future center around planning other people’s weddings and her new online dating website. Just because she works to help other people find love doesn’t mean she wants any part of it though. Unfortunately for Meredith’s plans, Asher Murphy is determined to get her to give love another chance. But then again, so is Pule Matafeo. Meredith has never denied that she’s stubborn and feisty so it might take the combined forces of all their friends in Fircrest to get her heart back on track in time for Valentine’s Day.
My Review:
This is the fourth trilogy that takes place in Fircrest, WA and by now, I really feel that these characters are my friends. The characters come and go throughout each of the books and I love seeing them beyond their stories.
I have to admit, I didn't like Meredith or Asher much in previous books, but getting to know them better and watching their transformations changed my mind about their characters.
Meredith is a very strong willed woman and she throws everything she has into relationships, whether it be friendships or romances. It's all or nothing with her and because of that, she leaves herself wide open to being hurt and finds herself being very cautious. Asher is similar in many ways, but he's not one to hold back. When he sees something he wants, he goes for it. He puts on such a bad boy front, but I love how the Matafeo men can make him cower.
Meredith and Asher team up with a friend to form an online dating site and I loved learning more about it. The ideas are so creative and the new characters introduced are intriguing. I really enjoyed that aspect of the story, along with the humor. There were some misunderstandings that had me feeling terrible for a character, yet they were pretty funny. As usual, the clean romance is always my favorite part! I loved the references to music and the ending was absolutely perfect for the story.
Content: no language; no religious elements; no violence; mild romance (kissing). Clean!
